Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Who we are

National Prayer Support Group for Good Governance (NPSGGG) is a faith-based prayer and civic engagement organisation with its National Secretariat at Wuse Zone 5, Plot 34 Sokode Crescent, Behind Grand Ibro Hotel Annex, FCT Abuja, Nigeria. We act as the data controller for the personal data collected through npsgggnigeria.org and the members-only portal at membership.npsgggnigeria.org.

2. The data we collect

  • Identity and contact data: title(s), surname, first and middle names, gender, date of birth, phone number, email address and residential address.
  • Origin and location data: geopolitical zone, state, local government area, ward and polling unit of origin, and of current location where different.
  • Membership data: membership ID, role or position in NPSGGG, chapter, voter's card status and number where provided, occupation and disability status where volunteered.
  • Documents: your passport photograph and one accepted proof of identity (international passport, national ID card or driver's licence).
  • Portal and website data: account credentials handled by our authentication provider, prayer requests, prayer journal entries and basic technical logs.

3. Why we use your data

  • To process, screen and approve your membership application.
  • To verify your identity and prevent duplicate or fraudulent registrations.
  • To assign you to the correct ward, LGA, state and zonal chapter and connect you to coordinators.
  • To communicate prayer events, notifications, welfare matters and organisational announcements.
  • To administer welfare and member benefits provided for in the constitution.
  • To keep accurate statutory and organisational records.

Our lawful bases are your consent (given at registration), the performance of our membership relationship with you, and our legitimate organisational interests.

4. Who can see your data

Your full record is visible only to authorised NPSGGG administrators and the system developer, both bound by confidentiality. Ordinary members can view and update only their own profile. Passport photographs and proof-of-identity documents are held in private storage and are never publicly accessible.

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who host our website, database and email systems, and where disclosure is required by Nigerian law.

5. Security and retention

We apply row-level access controls, role-based permissions, encrypted transmission and private document storage. We keep your membership record for as long as you remain a member and for a reasonable period afterwards for historical and audit purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may request access to your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw your consent, and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Most corrections can be made directly from your member profile in the portal.

7. Children

Membership is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
