About us
An inclusive community within NPSGGG
We exist so that Nigerians living with disabilities are represented, resourced and heard — in prayer, in governance and in community life.
Our story
The Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Chapter is the disability-inclusion arm of the National Prayer Support Group for Good Governance (NPSGGG). We bring together Nigerians living with physical, sensory, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities, alongside their families, carers and allies, in prayer, advocacy and practical community service.
Our community is one of the fastest growing platforms within NPSGGG. The PWDs (NPSGGG) 4 PBAT 2027 forum now stands at nearly 1,000 members drawn from states across the federation, and continues to grow week by week.
The community is coordinated nationally by Hon. Aduku Emmanuel, National Coordinator, Persons with Disabilities, NPSGGG, supported by a six-member National PWDs Council and by disability desks in state chapters. The work is carried out under the leadership of Alhaji Amb. Abdul-Hakeem Atilade, Director General, NPSGGG.
Our mission
To mobilise persons with disabilities for intercessory prayer for Nigeria, while advocating for equal access, dignity and participation in governance at every level.
Our vision
A Nigeria where no citizen is excluded from worship, work, welfare or the ballot box because of disability.
Our promise
Persons with disabilities lead this community and speak for themselves. Decisions about us are never taken without us.
Our areas of work
Prayer & fellowship
Weekly intercession for Nigeria, her leaders and for families living with disability, held on accessible platforms so no member is left out.
Advocacy & rights
Promoting the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act and pressing for accessible public buildings, transport, polling units and services.
Representation
Ensuring PWD members hold real positions and speak for themselves at national, state, local government and ward levels.
Welfare & empowerment
Health screening, assistive devices, skills training and small-business support delivered through chapters and partners.
Civic participation
Voter education, registration support and accessible-election monitoring so every member can vote independently and in secret.
Capacity building
Disability-confidence training for NPSGGG officers, so programmes are designed with accessibility from the very start.
